Thursday, ParisLongchamp, France, post time: 19:33, PRIX AGA KHAN IV (PRIX D'ISPAHAN)-G1, €250,000, 4yo/up, 9 1/4fT
Field: Daryz (Fr) (Sea The Stars {Ire}), Leffard (Fr) (Le Havre {Ire}), Sosie (Ire) (Sea The Stars {Ire}), Divine Chrisnat (Fr) (Bow Creek {Ire}), Qilin Queen (Ire) (Pinatubo {Ire}).
TDN Analysis: Daryz drops back from the Ganay in which he was so impressive as he tackles last year's winner Sosie. Both are
top-class at a mile and a half and have the pace to make a mark over shorter, with Daryz possibly possessing a touch more class, though he doesn't have the favourable weight-for-age advantage he had when putting nearly six lengths between them in the Arc. Last year's Grand Prix de Paris winner Leffard has plenty to find with the front two. [Tom Frary].
Thursday, ParisLongchamp, France, post time: 20:50, PRIX VICOMTESSE VIGIER-G1, €400,000, 4yo/up, 15 1/2fT
Field: Asmarani (Ire) (Sottsass {Fr}), Al Riffa (Fr) (Wootton Bassett {GB}), Rashford (Fr) (Zarak {Fr}), Arrow Eagle (Fr) (Gleneagles {Ire}), Caballo De Mar (Ire) (Phoenix Of Spain {Ire}), Double Major (Ire) (Daiwa Major {Jpn}), Fairy Glen (Fr) (Farhh {GB}), Consent (Ire) (Lope De Vega {Ire}), Santorini Star (Ire) (Golden Horn {GB}).
TDN Analysis: Lightly-raced, unexposed and from the Aga Khan Studs and the Graffard stable, Asmarani ticks all the boxes and has been seeing off Double Major on a regular basis this spring, but has yet to do so on level weights and that is the least of his worries in so deep against established Group 1 performers. They include the Royallieu one-two Consent and Santorini Star, the Irish St Leger hero Al Riffa, Prix Royal-Oak winner Arrow Eagle and Prix du Cadran scorer Caballo De Mar. Four of these hold entries in next month's Gold Cup, but this could be more one for the speedier types and is sure to be a fascinating encounter. [Tom Frary].
Thursday, ParisLongchamp, France, post time: 18:58, PRIX DU PALAIS-ROYAL-G3, €137,200, 3yo/up, 7fT
Field: Lanzelot Gold (Fr) (Toronado {Ire}), Noble Champion (Ire) (Lope De Vega {Ire}), Lazzat (Fr) (Territories {Ire}), Silius (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}), Rencontre Sportive (Fr) (Seabhac).
TDN Analysis: It's fair to say that Lazzat hasn't looked the same animal since landing the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes last June, when he would have picked up the sprinters he was beaten by last time in the Al Quoz Sprint and carried them. Maybe this return to seven will help him get back whatever he's lost, but he has an outside draw at a notoriously tricky track for this trip and a fair rival in Silius who has smart form around here. Last year's Jersey winner Noble Champion hasn't been seen since pulling up in the Lennox in July and faces a stiff test after such an absence. [Tom Frary].
